the ‘other’ love story has 12 episodes that are between 7 and 13 minutes long each and the series can be watched for freehere. however, if you are able to support it financially, i encourage you to do that here.buying the webseries costs $9.99 and renting $7.99.
in addition to being super adorable, the ‘other’ love story is also the first romantic drama between two indian girls. and it has a happy ending. this is a huge step for lgbt representation in india and i, for one, am so here for this
Finally! Here’s my contribution to the Valor Anthology, “Bride of the Rose Beast”. Valor is a book I’m still so happy and honored to be a part of, and you can still get the 300+ page ebook HERE for $5! Enjoy!
These are my personal favourite wlw movies. If you have any suggestions please shoot me a message and I’ll watch! The wlw movie scene is a bit bleak for us all, so hopefully this will help.
I drew this back in 2015 for the Oath anthology! I had a lot of fun figuring out how I’d want to tell a superhero story (by not rly drawing a superhero fight at all, haha). Plus I got to be in this cool book along with a bunch of other cool lgbt+ artists.
If you’re looking for more queer superhero stories, check out the anthology here.
So many people are devastated by last night’s election. We are too. Today, we thought some people might need a Happily Ever After. Even a fictional one.
So, we are offering four LGBTQ books for free this week, so that anyone, no matter their financial means, can read these stories of love and hope.
Please feel free to pick up, FOR FREE through November 16, ROLLER GIRL by Vanessa North (f/f contemporary with a trans lead), LEAD ME NOT by Ann Gallagher (inspirational m/m), PICKUP MEN by LC Chase (m/m cowboys), and WHEN TO HOLD THEM by GB Gordon (contemporary m/m). It’s not much, but we need all the hope we can get.
Our special thanks to the authors for eagerly volunteering to participate in this celebration of LGBTQ love. You can download these books from anywhere in the world, in any format (mobi, epub, pdf, html), for consumption on any device (kindle, ipad, computer, smartphone, etc.).
Stay strong. Take care of each other. Love yourself. And remember that you are loved.
I’ve received several asks about my new book today (Death Wears Yellow Garters, hopefully available in a few hours!), but in addition, a couple people wanted a run-down of the books I’ve already published. Well, here it is! I’m happy to promote and explain my older works so my new followers can purchase them. If you like stories about lesbians, read on. And please, reblog! :D
Like heroes from an ancient tale, Aesa and Maeve plan to raid foreign shores, claiming gold and glory for their homeland. Young and in love, neither considers what will happen if one is chosen to be a warrior and the other is left behind.
On a mist-shrouded island, Aesa meets Ell, a woman enslaved by an insidious curse. Maeve walks the path of dark magic and finds Laret, a woman well acquainted with pain. Together, they must break the magic surrounding Ell, an act that will force them to choose between their dreams, their homes, and the women they love.
A fun, fast-paced adventure story with a primary cast of four diverse and interesting women, all of whom develop throughout the narrative. Oh, and many of the secondary characters are women too :)
One of my favorite aspects of this novel was how Aesa and Maeve’s people don’t judge others based on who they love. While jealousy still exists, homosexuality and polyamory are complete non-issues for them. If your love life doesn’t get in the way of gold and glory, then what does it matter if you have one bondmate or five? The reader can enjoy their women who love women sharing grand adventures together without any unpleasant homophobia dragging them down.
Warnings: Graphic violence, past non-graphic sexual assault and dubious consent (which is hard to explain without giving away the nature of the curse Ell and her people are under). Also, one of the four main characters is trans, and comes from a land and family that did not accept her. Again though, while it’s hinted that some people in this viking inspired society might find her secret humorous, at no time does the character have to deal with any transphobia while living among them. A very welcome change of pace indeed.
Just a heads up, in case you are into this sort of thing, Humble Bundle has a bundle of LGBTQIA-themed books right now. For a mere $15, you can get $342 worth of comics, books, and audio books, including such things as the audio book of Tipping the Velvet, the comics anthology No Straight Lines: Four Decades of Queer Comics, a Kevin Keller (Archie comics) collection, and a ton of other stuff.
Of course, it being Humble Bundle, you don’t even need to pay the whole $15; you can pay what you want (but then you don’t get everything in the entire bundle, just one or two tiers, depending on how much you pay).
Anyway, if you’re interesting in LGBT+ literature and comics, maybe check it out?
for 15$ it also includes Queers Destroy Science Fiction, one of my favourite short story anthologies.
